COURSE OVERVIEW
The Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology program at Kingston College of Science (KCS) is designed to provide students with specialized training in the field of ophthalmology. The course duration for students with a 12th Science background is 2 years, while for students with 10th or 12th in Arts/Commerce, the duration is 3 years. The curriculum includes eye examination techniques, optical instrument handling, visual acuity testing, and patient care, ensuring that students are proficient in both clinical skills and theoretical knowledge required for the profession. This comprehensive training equips students to assist in eye surgeries, conduct diagnostic tests, and help manage patients with various ophthalmic disorders.
